Edward A. Diviney, 95, formerly of Kennett Square, died Thursday, September 22, 2016 at his home in Heatherwoo­d Retirement Community.

Born in Kennett Square, he was the son of the late William L. and Anna A. Hickey Diviney and the husband of the late Mary Ann Reardon Diviney with whom he shared 47 years of marriage before her death in March, 2003.

Edward served in the US Army during WW II and fought in the Battle of the Bulge where he received a Purple Heart. He worked for the PA Liquor Control Board for many years.

Edward is survived by his children, William and his wife Candy of Coatesvill­e and Edward and his wife Josephine of Wilmington; three grandchild­ren: William, Erin and Colin; and a great grandchild, Ashie. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Teresa Kusnierczy­k. He is predecease­d by 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

A Funeral Mass for Edward will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 10 a.m. at St Patrick Catholic Church, 218 Meredith St., Kennett Square. Family and friends may visit at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.

Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery.
