GARNET VALLEY 3, DOWNINGTOWN EAST 0 >> Jasmine Ferrence had nine kills and five digs, Shannon Frank added six kills and four digs and Kelly Cherry notched 27 digs as the Cougars (5-5) fell in the nonleague contest, 25-20, 25-18, 25-15.
UNIONVILLE 3, MERION MERCY 1 >> Alli Lowe had 25 kills, four blocks and 33 digs to lead the Indians (54) to the nonleague victory, 22-25, 29-27, 25-22, 35-33. Molly McCloskey recorded 16 kills, Olivia Hojinacki 21 digs and Brooke Cheyney 48 assists.
WEST CHESTER HENDERSON 3, MARPLE NEWTOWN 0 >> The Warriors swept the nonleague match, 25-12, 25-15, 25-21 behind 23 assists and six aces from Allie Debreau. Sarah Mattern served five aces and Amanda Ball four.

MALVERN PREP 15, WISSAHICKON 2; MALVERN PREP 13, ST. FRANCIS (OHIO) 3 >> Issac Salinas had eight goals for the Friars in the Beast of the East Tournament. Steve Salle had two goals and six assists. Nick Calvaresi, Seamus Glynn, Andrew Kanuss, Zach Mahr and Pat McNally also scored. In the nightcap, Salinas led the way with five goals, Maher and Salle had two goals and two assists each. Sean Oakes had a gaol and five assists, Adam Yablonsky and Glynn had single tallies, while Griff Delaney made 11 saves. Malvern improved to 8-1.

College Tennis
ITA REGIONALS >> Lucas Von der Heyde advanced in the “A” draw for West Chester with a first-round win over Kevin Mboko from Edinboro, 1-6, 6-4, 1-0 (13-11). Von der Heyde dropped the first set, but battled back to take the second. He then won a marathon tie-breaker format of a third set to win the match and move on. Also winning his firstround “A” draw match was Norman Patten, who took a straight-set 6-3, 6-4 decision from Santiago Gutierrez of West Liberty.
