Rep. Lewis to host ‘senior expo’
The event Tuesday is a free opportunity for senior citizens in the 74th District to focus on their health
To provide seniors of the 74th District with an opportunity to focus on their health, state Rep. Harry Lewis Jr. is hosting his second annual Senior Expo.
It will be held Tuesday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Downingtown Area Senior Center at 983 East Lancaster Avenue.
The expo will feature county and state agencies, as well as local businesses and nonprofits that provide services to seniors. The expo is free. The 74th District encompasses Caln, Coatesville, Downingtown, East Caln, East Fallowfield, Modena, Parkesburg, South Coatesville, Sadsbury and Valley.
“In addition to learning about the many programs that are available to help the mature members of our communities, seniors may enjoy flu shots, massages, door prizes and a complimentary lunch at the expo,” Lewis, R-74, said in a statement. “As a senior citizen myself, I know that maintaining health later in life takes greater effort. I encourage the seniors of the district to take a couple of hours to invest in their lives.”
Lewis asked senior citizens to
RSVP to his district office in Downingtown by calling 610-269-1289 if they would like a complimentary lunch at the expo.
Lewis is seeking re-election in November. Democratic Downingtown Mayor Josh Maxwell is running against him.
