Hornets, Red Raiders battle to draw

The Oxford and Coatesvill­e girls soccer squads battled to a 2-2 draw in overtime on Monday.

Marykate McGinley scored both goals for the Hornets, who took a 2-1 second half lead. But the Red Raiders’ Kallie Bullock registered the equalizer, and neither team scored in regulation or in the overtime. Amaya Douglas also scored for Coatesvill­e.

College Mens Soccer

WEST CHESTER 7, HOLY FAMILY 0 >> Five different goal scorers helped propel the Golden Rams in non-league action. West Chester improves to 6-3-2.

Junior midfielder Colin Hester registered a pair of goals for the Rams, including the first goal coming less than two minutes into the match.

With 22 seconds before the half, West Chester would tack on one more goal by sophomore forward Jason Pixley. Teammate Brett Glasco took a shot from 24 yards out that hit the crossbar. Pixley collected the rebound and found the back of the net to make it 3-0 at the half.

Sophomore goalkeeper James Wood registered two saves in 90 minutes of action for his fourth shutout of the season.

Mens Golf

MUHLENBERG INVITATION­AL >> Immaculata’s golf team finished with a 326 at the Muhlenberg Invitation­al a 13th-place finish. The Mighty Macs played at the par 70, 6,415-yard Lehigh Country Club. Anthony Spatacco tied for sixth overall with a round of 73. Jay Spatacco and Patrick Zeoli both turned in rounds of 81 to tie for 44th. Stephen McEntee tied for 82nd after signing for a 91.
