Marie A. Griste of Downingtown, PA

1960-2016

Marie A. Griste, 56, passed away Friday, October 7, 2016.

She was the loving wife of Richard D. Griste sharing 26 years of marriage.

She was the loving mother of Kristina Marie and Adam Richard Griste. The dedicated sister of Carl R. Popadick of Atglen, sisters Joan Angiulo (Robert) of West Bradford, Chrissy Bilotta of Coatesville; numerous nieces and nephews also survive her.

Born October 4, 1960 in Darby, PA, she was the daughter of Florence Levandoski Popadick of West Chester and the late Carl C. Popadick.

She was a graduate of West Chester East High School and Penn State University graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science.

Marie was a Mom and a homemaker. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and an active volunteer on the thrift shop board. Marie’s favorite pastime besides spending time with her family was stamping and creating her own greeting cards.

If you were fortunate enough to receive one of Marie’s cards, please bring them with you on Friday. We would like to display them in the church. They will be returned to you.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Thursday, October 13, 2016 from 7:009:00pm at the Della-Vecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc., 410 N. Church St., West Chester, PA 19380, 610-696-1181, www.DellaFH.com; and on Friday, October 14, 2016 from 10:00- 11:00am at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 10 West Pleasant Grove Rd., West Chester, PA 19382; followed by her Memorial Service at 11:00am.

Interment will be held privately in the Westminster Presbyterian Church Memorial Gardens.
