Dorothy M. Simpson-Lipka of West Chester

Dorothy M. Simpson-Lipka, 103, formerly of Springfield, Delaware County, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at Brandywine Hall.

She was the wife of the late Alfred W. Simpson and Luke H. Lipka.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late James and Sarah Kelso.

Dorothy was dog groomer and a 50 year member of the Keystone Collie Club and Collie Club of America. She raised and showed Rough Coat Collies and was an avid gardener.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Marjorie Maxton and her husband, Richard; step children, Christine Taraborelli and her husband, Vince, Phyllis Stupien and husband, Mark; seven grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by children, Dorothy Aurillo, William Simpson and Alfred Simpson.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at 12 noon on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at the Founds Funeral Home, Inc., 229 South High Street, West Chester, 610-696-0134, where the family will receive guests starting at 11 a.m.

Interment will be at 2 p.m. at Valley Forge Gardens.
