Dorothy M. Simp­son-Lipka of West Ch­ester

Dorothy M. Simp­son-Lipka, 103, for­merly of Spring­field, Delaware County, passed away on Wed­nes­day, Oc­to­ber 12, 2016, at Brandy­wine Hall.

She was the wife of the late Al­fred W. Simp­son and Luke H. Lipka.

Born in Philadel­phia, she was the daugh­ter of the late James and Sarah Kelso.

Dorothy was dog groomer and a 50 year mem­ber of the Key­stone Col­lie Club and Col­lie Club of Amer­ica. She raised and showed Rough Coat Col­lies and was an avid gar­dener.

Dorothy is sur­vived by her daugh­ter, Mar­jorie Max­ton and her hus­band, Richard; step chil­dren, Chris­tine Tara­borelli and her hus­band, Vince, Phyl­lis Stupien and hus­band, Mark; seven grand­chil­dren; and 19 great-grand­chil­dren.

She was pre­ceded in death by chil­dren, Dorothy Aurillo, Wil­liam Simp­son and Al­fred Simp­son.

Rel­a­tives and friends are in­vited to at­tend the fu­neral ser­vice at 12 noon on Tues­day, Oc­to­ber 18, 2016, at the Founds Fu­neral Home, Inc., 229 South High Street, West Ch­ester, 610-696-0134, where the fam­ily will re­ceive guests start­ing at 11 a.m.

In­ter­ment will be at 2 p.m. at Val­ley Forge Gar­dens.
