Praise for a job well done

-

To the Editor: It wasn’t spooky Halloween season, yet on three consecutive occasions, I came home to find the same business card staring at me off my dining room table. Who was this person? Why was she at my house 3 times in one week? I won’t deny it, I was curious. But put your mind to ease, she was not an intruder. She was a persistent real estate agent who was showing my home listing to her potential buyers. But this agent had a different edge to her! She was considerate to our dinner times; as if she had insight into the timing that we sat down to share a family meal. Also with no exception, she always provided timely and constructive feedback about our property before the clock ticked midnight. Sounds too good to be true, right? I agree. But wait… keep on reading.

Our family plans changed, we decided to hold on to our home. Months went by, but I never forgot that determined, thoughtful, highly driven and kind looking face off those business cards. So when I decided to pursue a purchase of a second home, inquisitiveness became my driving force. Who is this legend? I know you’re wondering too… She is the most incredible, exceptional, amazing, professional, outstanding, flexible, remarkable and no doubt the most patient real estate agent I’ve ever met. Yes, you’re right; she is Chester County’s ever famous Susan Mangigian who knows every street, road, alley and stop sign in the area! She is the humanitarian with a golden heart who for years donated her time to make a difference in the lives of Chester County’s seniors by delivering meals for lunch. The realtor, mentor and now proudly our friend who showed us countless houses. Susan is the one and only sales person that I know who doesn’t view her buyers as bypassing clients. She took our goals and wishes personally and she embarked on this journey by adding valuable ideas and perspectives. Has any one of you encountered a real estate agent or a sales person who would point out the short falls of a house that you think you like and explains why it’s not a good investment to carry on with? Probably not! I figured! Why? Most likely because you didn’t have a Susan Mangigian to hold your hand throughout one of the most critical purchases of your adult life.

Finally, Susan not only helped us find our dream home, but she became the pinnacle behind realizing our dream. We were one of multiple buyers over-bidding on a property, and it was only through her grace, passion, commitment and expertise that we secured the “proud home owners” title. Our profound appreciation goes to Susan for all what she has done and continues to do for us. It’s been the ultimate honor and pleasure working with her, and I hope you too will have such an incredible story to share with your family and friends. Aline Arslanian
