Con­estoga hockey caps per­fect league slate

The Con­estoga field hockey team fin­ished off a per­fect run through the Cen­tral League with an 8-0 win over Lower Me­rion Tues­day.

Con­estoga clinched its fourth con­sec­u­tive un­de­feated Cen­tral League field hockey cham­pi­onship with an 8-0 thrash­ing of Lower Me­rion on Tues­day.

Char­lotte de Vries led the way with four goals and Char­lotte Ross added a hat trick. So­phie Grove added a goal.

Madi­son Ro­gal­ski and Emma McGil­lis had as­sists.

The Pi­o­neers moved to 11-0 in the league and 16-1 over­all.

OX­fORD 2, KEN­NETT 1, OT » Rachel Han­num scored her sec­ond goal of the game in over­time to lift the Hor­nets (5-7) to the Ches-Mont Amer­i­can vic­tory. Marycate Lon­don and Sarah John­son recorded as­sists.

Mor­gan Tucker added six kills and three blocks, Jill Cur­ran had nine kills and one block and Clarie Long had seven kills and two digs.

DOWN­ING­TOWN WEST 3, WEST CH­ESTER RUSTIN 2 » So­phie Gelling had 19 kills and four blocks to help the Whip­pets (10-2) to the, 2514, 25-23, 15-25, 25-27, 15- 12, Ches-Mont vic­tory. The loss gives the Amer­i­can Di­vi­sion ti­tle to Great Val­ley.

Gina Schetroma had 42 digs for West, Alex Kenny added 10 digs and 10 ser­vice points. Lexi Bald­win recorded 22 as­sists, seven digs and two aces, Ken­zie Pin­cura had 10 kills, 12 digs and three aces, Aly Rear­don col­lected nine kills and Chloe O’Don­nell had 29 as­sists.

For the Golden Knights (8-5, 13-7), Amanda Fichter had 20 digs and two aces, Lau­ren Hayes had 20 digs and Emily Sup­plee added eight kills, 17 digs and two aces. Kaia John­son had six kills and 10 blocks, Alessia Mat­tera, 11 kills and 17 digs and Mor­gan Bitzberger notched 15 as­sists and four blocks.

Col­lege Field Hockey

WEST CH­ESTER 5, MANS­fIELD 0 » Dayle Paus­tian and Rachal Toppi each scored a pair of goals to lead 10th-ranked West Ch­ester to a PSAC vic­tory. West Ch­ester (9-6, 5-2 PSAC) re­mains in a tie for third-place with Millersville, in the PSAC Stand­ings. The Golden Rams con­trolled much of the match, hold­ing a 28-1 ad­van­tage in shots with 22 of those 28 at­tempts on goal. Mans­field goal­keeper Laura Law­son made 17 saves in the cage for the Moun­taineers.
