Joseph A. (Joe) Car­rero III, 64, passed away peace­fully sur­rounded by his fam­ily on Fri­day, Oc­to­ber 21, 2016, at Thomas Jef­fer­son Uni­ver­sity Hospi­tal.

He was the beloved hus­band of Lynn D. Car­rero (nee Deakins), shar­ing 29 years of mar­riage to­gether.

Born in Philadel­phia, he was the son of Chris­tine M. Car­rero (nee Gla­viano), of Garnet Val­ley, and the late Joseph A. Car­rero Jr. In ad­di­tion to his wife and mother, Joe is sur­vived by his sons, Ben­jamin and Christo­pher Car­rero; sis­ters, Michelle Wright (Joseph Wright) and An­drea Car­rero; brother, Michael Car­rero, and nephew, Michael Jr.; brother-in-law, Richard Deakins (Kathye Deakins); niece, Jen­nifer McCreight (Ryan McCreight); and nephew Kyle Deakins (Katie Deakins). Joe is also sur­vived by many lov­ing aunts, un­cles, and cousins.

Fam­ily and friends are in­vited to Joe’s view­ing on the evening of Thurs­day, Oc­to­ber 27, from 6-8 p.m., at the James J. Terry Fu­neral Home, 736 East Lan­caster Av­enue, Down­ing­town. A fu­neral ser­vice will be held on Fri- day, Oc­to­ber 28, at 11:00 a.m., with a view­ing from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m., at the West­min­ster Pres­by­te­rian Church, 10 West Pleas­ant Grove Road, West Ch­ester. In­ter­ment will be at Union Hill Ceme­tery, 424 North Union Street, Ken­nett Square, im­me­di­ately fol­low­ing the ser­vice.
