David Faulkner of Coatesville

David Faulkner, 60, died on Oc­to­ber 29, 2016 in Palm Beach Gar­dens, FL, af­ter a brief ill­ness from can­cer.

David was raised in Malvern, PA and was a po­lice of­fi­cer in East White­land Town­ship for 28 years. He be­gan his ca­reer in 1984, as a pa­trol­man and was pro­moted to the rank of Sergeant in 2000, re­tir­ing in 2012.

Since re­tire­ment, David spent time pur­su­ing his pas­sion for con­struc­tion and tile work. He spent the past 18 months at his home in Flor­ida and was Pres­i­dent of the Lake Har­bour Cove Con­do­minium As­so­ci­a­tion, lend­ing his con­struc­tion tal­ent in trans­form­ing the Con­do­minium lobby and over­see­ing the com­ple­tion of the sea­wall sur­round­ing the prop­erty.

David was a quiet in­di­vid­ual with a wicked sense of hu­mor. He found plea­sure in help­ing oth­ers and expecting noth­ing in re­turn. David’s suc­cess was not de­fined by the time on the job, but by the qual­i­ties he ex­hib­ited ev­ery sin­gle day.

He was pre­ceded in death by his Mother, Mil­dred Faulkner Cooper, and his brother Dea­con Faulkner. Sur­vivors in­clude his iden­ti­cal twin brother, James, sis­ter Milly Smith, and older brother Rod­ney O’Hara, nephew Michael O’Hara, and two nieces Macken­zie Smith Coyle and Lind­say Chasanov. His fam­ily will miss him, but are com­forted in know­ing that he is re­united with his Mother and younger brother.

Fam­ily and friends are in­vited to at­tend a me­mo­rial ser­vice on Satur­day, Novem­ber 19 at noon at The Covenant Pres­by­te­rian Church lo­cated at 400 Lan­caster Av­enue, Malvern, PA. The fam­ily will greet vis­i­tors start­ing at 11:00 a.m. In­ter­ment will be pri­vate. Con­tri­bu­tions may be made to SPCA, 1212 Phoenixville Pike, West Ch­ester, PA 19380.
