Harry Andrew of Christiana

Harry Andrew, 91, a longtime resident of Thorndale, and for the past five years a resident of Harrison Senior Living in Christiana, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 10, 2016. He was the loving husband of Betty Andrew, formerly a resident of Harrison Senior Living. Betty preceded Harry in death by one month. The couple was lovingly married for 68 years.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, Ilko and Eva Andruchiw; his brothers, Pete and Bill; and his sisters, Eva, Jessie, and Mary. He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Matthews, and her husband, Eldon; his son, Harry Jr., and his wife, Judy. He is also survived by his sister, Sophie Labriola, and his brother, Fred Andrews. He is survived by many nieces and nephews as well.

Harry served in the Army Air Corps in World War II. He was a veteran of two theaters: North Africa and Burma. He was proud to have served his country honorably.

A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, November 15, at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time.

Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Coatesville.
