-

David Faulkner, 60, died on October 29, 2016 in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, after a brief illness from cancer.

David was raised in Malvern, PA and was a police officer in East Whiteland Township for 28 years. He began his career in 1984, as a patrolman and was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2000, retiring in 2012.

Since retirement, David spent time pursuing his passion for construction and tile work. He spent the past 18 months at his home in Florida and was President of the Lake Harbour Cove Condominium Association, lending his construction talent in transforming the Condominium lobby and overseeing the completion of the seawall surrounding the property.

David was a quiet individual with a wicked sense of humor. He found pleasure in helping others and expecting nothing in return. David’s success was not defined by the time on the job, but by the qualities he exhibited every single day.

He was preceded in death by his Mother, Mildred Faulkner Cooper, and his brother Deacon Faulkner. Survivors include his identical twin brother, James, sister Milly Smith, and older brother Rodney O’Hara, nephew Michael O’Hara, and two nieces Mackenzie Smith Coyle and Lindsay Chasanov. His family will miss him, but are comforted in knowing that he is reunited with his Mother and younger brother.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, November 19 at noon at The Covenant Presbyterian Church located at 400 Lancaster Avenue, Malvern, PA. The family will greet visitors starting at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private. Contributions may be made to SPCA, 1212 Phoenixville Pike, West Chester, PA 19380.
