Mildred M. Hesselbacher of Downingtown

1930-2016

Mildred M. Hesselbacher, 86, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Exton Senior Living with her loving family by her side.

Mildred was the spouse of Richard Hesselbacher, with whom she shared 63 years of marriage.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Frieda (nee Tuting) Martschink.

Mildred was an active volunteer at St. Martha’s in Downingtown. She enjoyed doing puzzles and was an avid traveler with her husband. River Cruises in Europe and trips to Key West were a few of her favorites.

In addition to her husband, Mildred is survived by 5 children; Carol M. Barrett (Bill), of West Chester, Bruce W. Hesselbacher (Charlene), of Finksberg, MD, Garry R. Hesselbacher (Christine) of Morristown, NJ, Lynne D. Hesselbacher of Phoenixville, PA and Diane N. Speroff (Carl), of Exton, PA; a sister, Linda H. Stelling of Lake Grove, NY; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mildred will be held Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Downingtown United Methodist Church, 751 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, PA 19335, where family and may call from 9:15 – 10:45 am.

Interment will be private.
