Arguably the coolest show ever broadcast on TV, “Miami Vice: The Complete Series” (19841989, Mill Creek, unrated, $70) is an addictive ‘80s time capsule that boasts plenty of palm trees, pastels and pop music.

Michael Mann (“Heat”) produced the show about undercover cops (Don Johnson, Philip Michael Thomas) and you can see his signature on nearly every episode, especially during the later seasons when the series takes a turn toward the existential.
