Georgianna W. Mentzer of Royersford

1924-2016

Georgianna W. Mentzer, age 92, wife of the late Charles A. Mentzer, died Tuesday, November 22, 2016 in Parkhouse Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born on August 10, 1924 in Mechanicsburg, PA, she was a daughter of John and Mary (Smith) Weber. She was a 1942 graduate of Mechanicsburg High School. Mrs. Mentzer worked as a Food Service Manager for Downingtown School District before retiring in 1989. She was a member of the Hopewell United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Mentzer is survived by one son, Douglas C., husband of Linda J. Mentzer of Limerick; Brother, Wayne Weber of Wellsville, PA; daughter-in-law Joanne Mentzer; three grandchildren, John, husband of Christine Mentzer, Daniel Mentzer, husband of Steven Dymond, and Shawn, husband of Jill Mentzer; and five great grandchildren, David, Michael, William, Taylor, and Mackenzie. He was preceded in death by one son, Ronald A. Mentzer; Sister, Marie Kraybill, Brothers, Ray Weber, Sylvester Weber; and one grandson, Brian Mentzer.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Hopewell United Methodist Church, 852 Hopewell Road, Downingtown, PA 19335 on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 11:00 am. Burial will be held in the Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery. Friends will be received from 10:30 am - 11:00 am Friday at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Hopewell United Methodist Church, at the above address.
