Robert R. Rich of Willow Valley, Lancaster, Pa.

Robert R. Rich, 94, passed away at Lancaster General Hospital, Lancaster, Pa., on December 19, 2016.

He was born in Windsor, Connecticut to the late Arthur M. and Mary L. (Silvia) Rich. Robert was married for 65 years to his wife Virginia E. Rich, who died in 2015. A graduate of Collingdale High School, Collingdale, Pa., Class of 1940, and Drexel University, Philadelphia, Pa., Class of 1955, Robert worked for 41 years at The Bell Telephone Company of Pennsylvania. He served in the United States Army during World War II. A member of Harvest Presbyterian Church, he loved the Lord Jesus, often spoke about Him to others, and is now home with Him.

Robert is survived by his son Paul A. Rich of West Chester, Pa., daughter Barbara A. Weaver, wife of Gary, of Fishers, IN, daughter Suzanne I. Graves, wife of John, of Modena, Pa., son John A. Rich, husband of Teresa, of Mebane, NC; his grandchildren Michael and Andrew Weaver, James Graves, Daniel Rich, and Laura Mataraza; and three great-grandchildren. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Willow Valley Communities and Lancaster General Hospital for the wonderful care given to Robert.

Services, with interment in Willow Street U.C.C. Cemetery, will be at the convenience of Robert’s family.
