Helen Irene Douglas of West Chester

Helen Irene Douglas, 89, died Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Chester County Hospital in West Chester.

She was the wife of the late Clyde Douglas who passed in 2011.

Born July 12, 1927 in West Chester, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry C. McNamee and the late Helen M. Gertler McNamee.

She attended West Chester Senior High School.

Helen was a life-long resident of West Chester, and worked many years at Mosteller’s Department Store, and then at Quaker Baker’s Bake Shop in West Chester.

She loved being with family, and always enjoyed a good party!

Helen is survived by her children, Steven Douglas (Jill) of Garnet Valley and Linda L. Haley of West Chester; grandchildren Traci L. Douglas of San Diego, CA, Kelly D. Fleming (Stephen) of West Chester, Kristy M. Douglas of West Chester, David C. Haley (Christine) of Media and Sean T. Haley (Terri) of Las Vegas, NV; great-grandchildren Kaitlyn B. McClelland, Reese J. Fleming, Grant S. Fleming, Gianna M. Haley, Jackson D. Haley, Kailyn Haley and Sean Haley Jr.

Relatives and Friends are invited to her visitation on Saturday, January 7, 2017 from 10:00-11:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church of West Chester, 130 W. Miner St. West Chester, PA 19380; followed by her Memorial Service at 11:00am.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Exchange Club Family Center, 310 N. Matlack Street, West Chester, PA 19380.
