Phyllis Werner McCullough, formerly of Hershey’s Mill
Phyllis Werner McCullough, 96, formerly of Princeton Village in Hershey’s Mill died January 18, 2017 at St. Martha Care Center in Downingtown. Born July 22, 1920 in Lykens County, PA. Phyllis was the daughter of the late Harry C. and Anna Shadel Werner.
She was married in October, 1942 to the late J. Robert McCullough Sr. She was predeceased by three children, Diana Marie (1972), Craig Matthew (1987) and infant Terrence Allen (1957). She is survived by son J. Robert, Jr. and his wife Diane of Sylmar, California, and Lynn McCullough Rosenbach, daughter-in-law, of West Chester; and three grandchildren, Kasey Erin Rangan and husband Cyrus of La Crescenta, CA, Cory Patrick McCullough of Tampa, FL and Gracie Rosenbach of Kampala, Uganda. Phyllis is survived by two greatgrandchildren, Callum Craig Rangan and Cameron Flynn Rangan of La Crescenta, CA. She is also survived by a very dear niece, Patricia McCullough Kozakowski of Nottingham, PA. as well as several other nieces and nephews.
Phyllis was a homemaker and photographer. Her photographs won prizes in many photographic and art shows. Phyllis and Bob together ran Double Venture Farm in East Bradford Twp. a horse farm, from 1963 until the 1990s when they retired to Hershey’s Mill. Since the early ‘70s she was an associate member of Daylesford Abbey in Paoli, Pa. Phyllis was active in women’s functions and also was a member of the Body of Christ prayer community.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Alleva Funeral Home in Paoli, PA. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Daylesford Abbey on Monday, January 23 at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be at St. Denis Cemetery in Havertown following a brief reception at the church.
