The Avon Grove girls swimming team set nine pool records at the Coatesvill­e Natatorium on Friday, during a 96-71 Ches-Mont League National Division contest.

The Avon Grove girls swimming team set nine pool records at the Coatesvill­e Natatorium on Friday, during a 96-71 Ches-Mont League National Division contest.

First up was the 200 medley relay team of Emma Brinton, Olivia Paoletti, Sydney Paglia and Sophie May, who won in 1:49.77. Paoeletti came back in the 200 IM at 2:07.70. Izzy Paoletti captured the 200 freestyle in 1:55.77.

Paglia took the 100 butterfly (57.81), Izzy Paoletti in the 500 free (5:05.67), Brinton in the 100 back (58.93) and Olivia Paoletti in the 100 breast (1:05.65). The 400 and free relay teams also had record-setting swims.

Sydney Schroeder took diving for the Red Raiders with a 187.55 point total.

CONESTOGA 101, LOWER MERION 80 >> The Pioners (11-0) went unbeaten in the Central League to win their second straight title and 16 of last 17. Caroline Famous won the 100 back and was part of the 400 free relay team with Caroline Apahy, Madison Legwith and Sophia Poeta. Apahy was also second in the 100 butterfly.

Boys Swimming

CONESTOGA 96, LOWER MERION 74 >> Brian McKenrick was a triple event winner as the Pioneers (11-0) captured their third straight Central League title. McKenrick was part of the 200 medley relay squad and the 200 free relay, where his opening 50 split set a school record, set in 1998, at 21.23. He also won the 100 back- stroke. Brendan Burns won the 200 free releay with Griffin Hamilton, and the 200 medley relay and the 50 free. Kevin Ryle won the 200 medley relay and the 500 fre. Hamilton also was first in the 200 free.

AVON GROVE 94, COATESVILL­E 91 >> The Red Devils edged the Red Raiders in the Ches-Mont National contest. Matt Magorry was a triple winner (200 free, 100 back, 400 free relay. Kyle Holman (200 IM, 400 free relay) and Collin Slupe (400 free relay, 500 free) were double winners.

Bryce Nika won four events (50 free, 100 breast, 200 medley relay, 200 free relay) to lead the Red Raiders. Matt Oleykowski (100 fly, 200 medley relay) captured a pair of events.
