Anthony E. Morris Sr. of Coatesville

Anthony E. Morris Sr., 68, formerly of Downingtown, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2017, at Paoli Hospital. He was the loving husband of Linda (nee Stone) Morris, with whom he shared 19 years of marriage.

Born in West Chester, he was the son of the late John J. and Antoinette (nee Mascherino) Morris.

After graduating from Downingtown High School in 1968, Anthony began his career as a mason for D.M. Sabia, retiring in 1995.

He was a member of Bricklayer Local 54 of Norristown, as well as St. Anthony’s Lodge in Downingtown. Anthony enjoyed fishing and spending time at the beach with his beloved family; he will be greatly missed.

In addition to his wife, Anthony is survived by his children; Anthony Morris Jr., of Downingtown, Nicole Santosusso (Anthony), of West Chester, Payton Barber (Darryl), of Honey Brook and Jeannie Panik (Michael), also of Honey Brook. He is also survived by his brothers; John J. Morris, Bernard F. Morris and Kevin D. Morris and sisters; Ellen M. Morris and Joanne Ulkloss; 9 grandchildren; Chad, Jordan, Christian, Claudia, Serena, Savannah, Emily and Kate; and 2 great-grandchildren; Paige and Gavin. He was predeceased by a grandson, Joshua.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 10 at 11:00 a.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church, 46 West Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, PA 19335, where family and friends may call between 9:30 – 10:50 a.m.

Inurnment will be at Hopewell Cemetery, Downingtown.
