Isabella Rita Brun of Glen Mills

Isabella Rita Brun, age 89, died on February 9, 2017 at Rose Court in Maris Grove. Born in New York City and raised in Kennett Square, Isabella graduated from the Kennett Square High School in 1945. She resided for the past 10 years in Maris Grove, previously residing in Kennett Square. Isabella was an aide at the Kennett Sq. High School and Elementary School for 20 years retiring in the mid 1980’s. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church and a former member of St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother and St. Patrick Catholic Church. She was a member of the Italian American Citizens League (IACL), was very involved with Troop 53 Boy Scouts of America, a founding member of the Kennett HS Music Parents Association, and the Kennett Area Senior Center. She had multiple interest in various clubs at Maris Grove including the Maris Grove choir.

Isabella is preceded in death by her parents, Rocco and Margaret Guerrina Perrone, daughter in law, Lisa Brun who died in 2000 and a sister, Marguerite Garcia. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Walter C. Brun, 4 sons, Stephen (Terry) Brun, Michael (Debbie) Brun, Thomas Brun and Jeffrey (Robin) Brun, 3 sisters, Rosemary Angelucci, Jane Bazzano and Nancy Paproth, and also 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 9:4510:45AM at St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother Catholic Church, 8910 Gap Newport Pike, Avondale, PA followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00AM. Interment is private.
