In addition to selling a variety of craft and domestic beer, shoppers now have the opportunity to purchase wine at 32 Pennsylvania Giant Food Stores and Martin’s Food Markets Beer and Wine Eateries, the company said in announcing that the Enola Giant began selling wine last week.

“We know our customers are busy, so we wanted to give them another way to help them save time when shopping at our stores,” said Tom Lenkevich, Giant/Martin’s president. “As most of our beer and wine eateries have a nice selection of wine available, our customers will enjoy finding the right wine to pair with our many food offerings.”

In the area, beer and wine is available at the following Giants: 141 E. Swedesford Road, Exton; 4357 West Swamp Road, Doylestown; 6542 E. Logan Square, New Hope; 1201 Knapp Road, North Wales; 1824 Ridge Pike, Royersford; 721 W. Sproul Road, Springfield; and 550 E. Lancaster Avenue, St. Davids.

Benchmark offers scholarships

Benchmark Federal Credit Union is calling for entries to Chester County-area students as well as existing membership to compete for five college scholarships totaling $15,000.

Three graduating high school senior students will each receive a $4,000 scholarship. Two students currently enrolled in an accredited higher-education institution will each receive a onetime $1,500 scholarship toward their fall 2017 tuition.

Essays of up to 750 words are due by 4 p.m. on Friday, March 31, and will be judged by an independent panel of community and education leaders. Winners will be notified by April 28.
