Was the Bible created as a tool to manipulate, control others?

I’m a person who believes in science because it is based on facts. I also believe that there’s a creator because it’s obvious that something had to create us. But I do not believe in religion. Have you ever considered that religion and the Bible were made by man to control people? fulfilled in the Bible, before his ascension. It takes spiritual depth and understanding to have faith in facts concerning spiritual things which are not tangible. So it makes complete sense to me when a person doesn’t believe in spiritual things, that they would also find it difficult to believe in religious things, as well. Religion is merely the way we practice or exercise our spiritual faith. And although it’s true that some people use religion and the Bible to control and manipulate others, it is not alarming to me that they do so because when people have the propensity to control other human beings, they will use religion, the Bible, and whatever else is available to them to do so. Personally, I absolutely do not believe that religion or the Bible was created by man as a means to control people because the purpose of religion is to spiritually express our submission and worship to divine beings, things or laws, not humans. And the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, is about God, his authority over mankind, and our responsibility to him which supersedes, in all instances, our obedience to humans. (Acts 5:29 says, “It is better to obey God rather than man.”) So anyone who uses the Bible to control people instead of using it to govern themselves, tells me that they have neither read, nor have a good understanding of what what the Bible really means.
