Mickey L. Harrington Sr. of Honey Brook

Mickey L. Harrington Sr., 84, of Honey Brook, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Hickory House Nursing Home. He was the beloved husband of Matilda Miller Harrington with whom he shared 66 years marriage.

Born in Rock Run, he was the son of the late Marie and George T. Harrington.

Mickey was employed by the Lukens Steel Company of Coatesville as an Electrical/Mechanical Supervisor for over 44 years. He was assistant fire chief at both Pomeroy and Sadsburyville Fire Company. He also served as a police officer in Sadsbury township for 13 years. He was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church, Compass.

He is survived in addition to his wife, by five children, Janet Marie (Thomas) Ring of Harrisburg, Frances Ann Maxwell of Coatesville, Mickey L. Harrington Jr. of Colcord, OK, David C. (Kathy) Harrington of Grimesland, North Carolina, and Kathy C. (Jay) Trofe of Bowmansville, PA., 10 grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren, and 5 Great, Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four siblings John Harrington, Pricilla M. Givler, Edward “Dick” Harrington, and William Harrington and a grandson Louis Brady Pieri.

Friends and Relatives are invited to attend funeral services on Wednesday March 22, 2017 at 11am at St John’s Episcopal Church, 1520 W Kings Hwy, Gap, PA 17527. Friends may call from 10am until 11am. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
