For Pete’s Sake (FPS) enables cancer patients and their loved ones the opportunity to strengthen, deepen and unify their relationships by creating unforgettable and lasting respite vacations. In short, FPS provides individuals with a break from cancer. FPS sends patients and their families to the two FPS owned respite homes near Orlando, Florida, and to select destinations in the Caribbean and along the East Coast. Upon the patients’ return, FPS continues to provide ancillary support to patients and their families as their battle with cancer persists. Over 6,000 individuals have been served by FPS since 1999.

The Fashion Show Committee has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the mission of FPS, impacting countless lives affected by a cancer diagnosis. The committee is comprised of volunteers that believe in the importance of respite vacation in the healing process. The Fashion Show is sponsored in part by: Brandywine Realty Trust.

Marci Bossow Schankweiler founded For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation in memory of her husband, Peter R. Bossow, Jr., whose 15-month battle with cancer ended on Sept. 1, 1999.
