Joan Marie Mansfield-Matson June 4, 1931-March 26, 2017

Joan M. Mansfield-Matson born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully at the Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester, Pennsylvania.

Joan is survived by her sister Phyllis MansfieldCasale, and her brothers Jack Mansfield and Richard Mansfield, and by her children, Audrey Matson and Christopher Matson, and four grand- children, Anna Mansfield Robinson, Ava Matson Robinson, David Visnov and Sarah Visnov.

She is preceded in death by her daughters Suzanne Matson (1952) and Diana Matson (2015).

Growing up in Southwest Philadelphia and going to Catholic Schools and Churches she learned the love of organization. Graduating with honors from grade school through Notre Dame High School, Joan excelled in civic duties.

After graduating from Temple University with a degree in Bachelor of Arts and for Legal Office Administration, she went on to a long and celebrated career in legal administration.

She loved to garden and exercise at the local Y where there where many children who put a smile on her face and gave her hope for the future.

Mass will be held at Saint Agnes Church on Friday April 28th at 11 AM, in West Chester, Pennsylvania, with interment to follow at Saint Agnes Cemetery, West Chester. A luncheon for friends and family will follow at Saint Anthony’s Lodge in Downingtown, Pennsylvania at 1PM.
