RNC boss Romney McDaniel speaks to GOP faithful
About 400 Republican faithful received a pep talk from Ronna Romney McDaniel, Republican National Committee Chairwoman, during the annual Chester County GOP spring reception at Valley Forge Resort Casino Wednesday.
Romney McDaniel has deep Republican roots. She is the granddaughter of former Michigan Gov. George W. Romney and niece of presidential candidate Mitt Romney.
She said her grandfather loved America and taught her the “importance of not taking it for granted.”
“He wanted us to recognize the privilege we have in living in the United States,” she said.
For the upcoming May primaries, races for judges, local supervisors and county row offices are on the ballot.
Romney McDaniel told the lively crowd that the Republicans “make the difference.”
She talked about the importance of a ground game and knocking on doors early. “Stay engaged,” she said. Prior to speaking formally, Romney McDaniel lauded volunteers “who give so much time and care so much about the state and county,” she said. “It showed why Pennsylvania turned red and we’ve got to keep it that way.”
Val DiGiorgio, chairman of the Republican Party of Pennsylvania, said through a release that he looks forward to strengthening ties with Romney McDaniel.
“It was an honor to host Chairwoman Romney McDaniel this evening,” DiGiorgio said about the first female RNC chair in three decades. “Her passion for our party along with her comprehensive understanding of ground game, data analytics and digital communications is unparalleled.”
