Communities of Care and Family Ministries Workshop
Tel Hai Chapel: Chester County Faith Community Health Ministry Network will host a Developing Communities of Care and Family Ministries presentation from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, May 6, at 1200 Tel Hai Circle, Honey Brook. The session is part of the group’s ongoing educational focus on holistic health – physical, mental/ emotional and spiritual – involving the four stages of life: children, teens, adults and seniors. The network provides free presentations on associated topics during monthly meetings that rotate between Kennett Square and West Chester, along with biannual workshops for pastors, lay and ministry leaders, community organizations and others. The upcoming session will explore how faith communities can become effective partners in creating a more complete System or Communities of Care approach in their areas, achieve greater ministry impacts with less individual efforts, the critical differences between a person- and familycentered System of Care approach versus simply creating more programs, expand the number of congregants who want to engage in ministry, strengthen families through a comprehensive focus rather than ministry silos, and free resources that are available to help implement various ministry efforts. Registration for the workshop, that includes refreshments, is available with Joan Holliday, Network co-chair, at dochollisv@aol.com or (610) 717-2180.
