Frederick H. Williams, 81, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2017.

Born in Roanoke, Virginia to the late Richard and Dorothy Williams, he was also predecease­d by his wife, Nancy J. (nee Fawley) and siblings Richard (Joan) Williams and Dorothy (Thomas) Young.

Fred was a graduate of Upper Darby High School, class of ‘54 and then served in the US Army. Fred married Nancy in 1958 and graduated from Drexel University with a degree in civil engineerin­g in 1972, after working full time and taking night classes for 12 years.

Throughout his career, Fred founded F H Williams Engineerin­g Inc and had worked for ARCO, Weston Solutions, the RHM Sewer Authority and R E Coleman Associates.

An avid Eagles and Phillies fan, Fred enjoyed watching the games each season with his family. He was an animal lover who had many pets as a small boy including dogs, cats and a crow named “Jackson”.

Survivors include his children, Deborah (Timothy) Sloan, Virginia (Todd) Videon, Scott (Kimberly) Williams; 8 grandchild­ren, 3 great grandchild­ren; and brothers-in-law, Thomas Young and William Fawley.

Visitation will be 10AM Thurs at the Toppitzer Funeral Home at Arlington, 2900 State Rd., Drexel Hill, with Funeral Services beginning at 11AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributi­ons may be made to the Neighborho­od Hospice, 400 East Marshall Street, West Chester, PA 19380 or the Chester County SPCA 1212 Phoenixvil­le Pike, West Chester, PA 19380.

The family wishes to thank the caring staff at the Neighborho­od Hospice for their tireless efforts to keep Fred and his family welcome and comfortabl­e at all times during his lengthy stay. Bless you all.
