-

Robert “Bob” Woll Siegele passed peacefully on Friday, May 5th, 2017 with his wife of 63 years, Joan (Scoralick), and family by his side.

Born on September 3rd, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY to the late William F. Siegele and Melissa Woll Siegele, Bob is survived by brother William Siegele and preceded in death by his sister Marie Horn.

After serving his country in the Korean War as a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers with the 578th Engineer Battalion, Bob returned home to marry his sweetheart Joan in 1953. They moved to Chester County, Pennsylvania in 1962.

Together, they grew a successful business and family life, and built a legacy of love for his four surviving children and their spouse, Robyn (and Randy) Caspersen, Randall (and Julie) Siegele, Glenn (and Sherri) Siegele and Karin (and John) Campbell, along with sixteen grandchildren, Kourtney Caspersen, Ashley (and Josh) Trout, Jason Caspersen and Tiffany Harnisch; Christopher, Andrew (and Jen), Patrick and Ali Siegele; Hannah, Emma, Mabel, Sarah and Amelia Siegele; Justin, Jeremy and Anna Campbell; along with five great grandchildren, Jacob Trout, Marley and Xavier Siegele, Landon Campbell and Cole Robert Caspersen-Lewis.

Ever the classic American Entrepreneur - with his wife by his side Bob founded R.W. Siegele Company in 1962, selling packaging and processing machinery. In 1969, Bob also founded from the family back porch - Omega Design Corporation, which has grown into a global provider of world class pharmaceutical packaging machinery and continues today in its 48th year in Exton, PA.

In Bob’s family life, he brought a special passion to his interests in fishing and gardening. Family members have (mostly) fond memories of being awakened in wee hours for fishing trips. Bob’s impressive bounty from his gardens was consistently enjoyed by the family - asparagus, blueberries and peaches and more.

As a man devoted to his family, Bob also created lasting memories for his wife, children, grand-children, and great grand-children through a lifetime of special family vacations including Rehoboth Beach, DE, Islesboro, ME and Key West, FL.

The family will announce a life celebration soon.

Donations can be made in Bob’s memory to Disabled American Vets www. dav.org or the Charcot Marie Tooth Association www.cmtausa.org.
