Joyce Marie Hodges of Coatesville

Evangelist Joyce Marie Hodges, 70, passed away May 11, 2017, at home.

Born in Wilmington, NC she was the daughter of the late John R. Tate, Jr. and Mildred (Grady) Tate.

She was the beloved wife of Morizel H. Hodges, Sr. with whom she shared 43 years of marriage.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughters, Desiree (Claude) Norris, Felice L. Johnson both of Coatesville, PA; her sons, William A. Johnson of Philadelphia, PA, Maurice Johnson (Janet) of Cape May, NJ, Morizel L. Hodges, Jr. (Alissha) of Audubon, PA; a step daughter, Marcella Walker; step sons, David Williams and Donald Williams all of Rhode Island; a brother, John M. Tate (Donna) of Coatesville, PA; sisters, Linda L. Miller of Coatesville, PA, Dorothy (Ed) Rainey of Conyers, GA, Vernetta Majors of Exton, PA; one uncle, Charles Tate of Coatesville, PA; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Claude Norris III.

Homegoing services will be held at 10 AM Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Holy Tabernacle Church of God in Christ, 533 Coates Street, Coatesville, PA with a viewing beginning at 8 AM.

Interment will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, West Chester, PA.
