Andrew W. Keegan III of New London

Andrew W. Keegan III passed peacefully at home on Monday, May 29, 2017. He was 83.

Mr. Keegan, born in Delaware County on December 3, 1933, was preceded in death by his father, Andrew W. Keegan, Jr., his mother, Blanche Brobst Keegan Robertson, and his wife, Elaine Evans Keegan. He is survived by 4 children, Andrew IV, Nancy Joy Wolfe, Robin and John; 2 grandchild­ren, 4 great grandchild­ren; 4 sisters and 1 brother.

Andy graduated from Ridley High School and worked in telecommun­ications for Bell Telephone/Verizon. Upon retiring in 1989 he realized his dream of living on a small farm complete with a variety of animals.

He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church, the Jennersvil­le YMCA and the Norwood Fire Company. He also worked at the Plumpton Park Zoo. Andy especially enjoyed spending time with his family and hanging out with friends. He had a keen knack for mechanics and a love of woodworkin­g, archery hunting, fishing, baseball, trains, antique cars/trucks, flying and travels to Alaska, Maine and Canada.

Services are at Beulah Baptist Church in Oxford on Saturday, June 17th at 6pm.

The family would like to thank Willow Tree Hospice and all of those who reached out for their loving care and support. Andy donated his body to the Pennsylvan­ia Human Gifts Registry for medical research and education of health care profession­als.
