Whalen guides Englund’s past PJ’s

Dan Whalen pitched a complete game, allowing six hits and striking out seven to pitch Englund’s Apparel to a 2-1 victory over PJ Whelihan’s in a West Chester Baseball League contest Sunday.

Mike Douglas and Dom Ficca led the Englund’s (121) offense with two hits and an RBI apiece.

John Durso threw four innings for the Prowlers (9-6-1). Bill Krebs and Ryan Hooven had two hits each for PJ’s.

The top two teams in the WCBL will meet again Tuesday.

OXFORD 11, WESTTOWN 1, 6 INNINGS » Frank Truanli and Josh Graf drove in three runs eac as Oxford pulled away for the Chester County Legion victory. Truanli had three hits, while Graf and Lucas Capelli had two hits apiece. Jordan Whisler allowed three hits in six innings with three strikeouts for the Braves.
