Kathleen Reed of Coatesville

Kathleen Reed, 70, died Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at her home.

Born in Philadelphia she was the daughter of the late George and Ann Cummings Scirrotto, and the wife of Eugene Reed with whom she shared 50 years of marriage.

Kathy was a member of St. Peter Church, West Brandywine.

She was a graduate of Archbishop Prendergast High School.

Kathy was a teaching assistant at Child Development Center, Coatesville for many years.

She was an auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary and volunteered at Birthright of Coatesville.

In addition to her husband, Gene, Kathy is survived by her four children: Melissa Reed of Coatesville; Dan Reed and his wife Heather of Reading, Trevor Reed and his wife Lori of East Earl, Jason Reed and his wife Trish of Thorndale; 5 grandchildren: Zach, Corrine, Nathan, Justin, and Lauren; and two sisters, Elaine of Florida and Jeannie of Yardley.

Kathy’s Memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday, June 26, 2017 at 11 am at St. Peter Church 2835 Manor Avenue, West Brandywine where family and friends may call beginning at 10am.

Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery, West Brandywine.
