Warren H. Kaye of Hershey’s Mill, West Chester
Warren H. Kaye, age 76 passed away June 23, 2017 at Paoli Hospital.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Mary Jane Kaye, daughters Karen Pelton of Chester Springs and Wendi Downey of West Chester, 4 grandchildren: Kaye Pelton, Fredric Downey, Greg Pelton, and Jacob Downey, and 2 sons-in-law Scott Pelton and Steve Downey.
For those of you who knew Warren you would appreciate the fact that he wrote his own obituary.
He was a graduate of Conestoga High School, Denison University, and The Wharton School of Business in Philadelphia.
He was then employed by Atlantic Richfield Company in Jacksonville, Florida as District Manager for 14 years, moved to London, England as the Director of Marketing for Arco Nuclear and Medical, and then came home to the Philadelphia College of Textile and Science in Philadelphia and was an impactful Business and Marketing Professor for 14 years. Warren was awarded the Professor of the Year award at the Philadelpia College before retiring and moving to Georgia. Once in Georgia he became the President and CEO of Centek Industries Inc. which he grew over 13 years to be the World’s largest manufacturer of marine exhaust systems and then sold in 2007.
Warren was a member of Glenn Arven, Golden Eagle, Radley Run, and St. Davids Country Club, as well as West Chester Golf Club. He was awarded the Rotary Club Paul Harris Fellow award in Thomasville. He enjoyed the company of all people and loved and treated those that he worked with as if they were his family. Warren never disliked anyone and was a VERY intelligent man who had a special sense of humor that could bring a smile to anyone’s face. He was the most generous and kind man that you will ever find and was loved by all but especially by his family and friends.
The family will celebrate his life privately with family and friends.
