Police arrest 1 suspect in home invasion robbery
3 masked men entered city home and robbed victims in incident last month
COATESVILLE » Police made an arrest in a recent overnight home invasion robbery.
Coatesville police were dispatched at 2:30 a.m. May 19 for a report of a home invasion robbery in the unit block of Oak Street. The victims told police that they were asleep when three men who wore masks and had guns had entered their residence.
At that time, police said that one of the victims was reportedly held at gunpoint and later locked in the basement when the intruders made their escape. No injuries were reported.
During the robbery the intruders reportedly stole a firearm, money, jewelry and other items, according to police.
Coatesville police said that through investigations it was found that Nyfeis Lighty, 24, of Philadelphia, was allegedly one of the suspects involved in the crime. Police charged Lighty on June 16 with robbery, burglary, aggravated assault, kidnapping, theft, possession of a firearm and related charges.
Lighty is currently detained in Philadelphia on unrelated charges, according to police. He is awaiting arraignment on this case, according to his online criminal report.
