21CCCS graduates 168 students
The 21st Century Cyber Charter School in Downingtown hosts graduation
The 21st Century Cyber Charter School (21CCCS) graduated 168 students during the June 10 graduation.
Commencement speaker Rachel Gaither, a 21CCCS alumnus from the class of 2012, addressed the students during the graduation ceremony held at Bayard Rustin High School. She was the Fraternity Science Scholarship recipient who has since graduated from MIT and pursued a career with a Cambridge biotech company that specializes in disease therapeutics.
Student graduation speakers included Grace McCleery, Madison Egyud, and Paige Yorgey of the class of 2017.
Of the 168 graduates, 20 were inducted into the National Honor Society where membership is determined on the basis of Scholarship, Leadership, Service and Character. Alexis Myers received the Miles Hannagan Community Service Scholarship. Hannagan, a 2013 graduate, and his sister Charlotte Hannagan, who attended Downingtown West High School, were killed by a drunk driver in a 2015 crash. He is remembered for his community service as a volunteer EMT and an Eagle Scout.

The 21st Century Cyber Charter School (21CCCS) is a nonprofit cyber charter school for students grades six through twelfth, located in Downingtown Borough. Named one of the “Top Workplaces” of 2016 and 2017 in the Delaware Valley by Philly. com, 21CCCS officials said they aim to provide students with a unique and valuable curriculum that ensures students will be challenged and excel overall, in and out of the classroom.
