following a traffic stop in the 100 block of Cooper Road, in New Garden Township. At 1305 hours, that date, police observed a silver Honda Civic fail to stop for a properly posted stop sign, at the intersecti­on of Ellicott and Cooper Roads. A traffic stop was initiated and contact was made with the driver, Lopez-Almanza, police said. SIMPLE ASSAULT »Alejandro Martinez-Guzman,

28, of West Grove was arrested and charged with Simple Assault and Harassment, following a disturbanc­e on 06/07/2017. At 1656 hours that date, police were dispatched to the 100 block of Myrtle Avenue in West Grove Borough. Upon arrival, a female reported that Martinez-Guzman had thrown a clothes basket at her during an argument. Police observed visible injuries

to the Victim’s arm. Martinez-Guzman was taken into custody, processed, and held for arraignmen­t later that evening, police said. AGGREVATED ASSAULT » A17 year-old male from Landenberg was charged with Aggravated Assault and related offenses, in connection with an assault that was reported to police on 05/18/2017. The juvenile is alleged to have confronted an 18 year-old male, in the parking lot of the Kennett Middle School, at 195 Sunnydell Road, in New Garden Township. It is alleged that when the Victim turned away from the juvenile, the juvenile struck him in the head, knocking him unconsciou­s, and causing him to fall backwards and strike his head on the ground. The Victim suffered a concussion as a result of the incident, police said.
