Coatesville artist Danni Peace to sing at Phillies game

- Staff Report

COATESVILLE » Originally from Coatesville, local singer-songwriter Danni Peace will be the featured singer at the Phillies game on July 30. She is looking to share the beauty of embracing vulnerability and wholeness through music. Peace grew up singing in Coatesville churches and local talent shows within her community.

“I remember getting ‘caught’ singing ‘Amazing Grace’ in my third-grade teacher’s classroom at Reeceville Elementary School and thinking that I was in trouble, just to realize that she enjoyed it,” she said. “She encouraged me to do the talent show that year and I kept singing wherever I was invited!”

Earlier this year, Peace released her EP titled “The Odyssey.” The concept arose from a desire to share about her life.

“Growing up, some people may have seen me as the girl who had it all together,” she said. “But my life was far from perfect. I did not allow anyone to get too close. Vulnerability has brought about significant healing in my life. That is why this EP means so much to me.

“When I was working on ‘The Odyssey,’ I wanted to release a project that reflected the spiritual journey I’ve taken within the past few years. I’ve experienced joy and grief. But through it all, I experienced Jesus as my healer. Instead of only sharing about the conclusion I arrived to, I wanted to share personal experiences and lessons I learned.”

Her single, ‘Fingerprint,’ was nominated by 93.7 WSTW for a Homey Award for Best RnB song. Recently, she appeared on “Good Day PA” to perform “Fingerprint.”

“I am so honored to be singing at the Phillies game,” she said. “I grew up going to the games so this will be very sweet to share my talents there.”
