Beverly Eileen Heeren (nee Edwards) 76 yrs., joined the angels on Sunday, July 30, 2017. She was the daughter of David Carl and Clarice Edwards of West Grove, Pa. She is survived by Reid Heeren her beloved husband of 57 years. In addition to her husband she is survived by her loving daughters, Lorrie Ann Dixon (Andy) of West Chester, Pa., Eileen Elizabeth Holland (David Hohman) of Honey Brook Pa., and Tracy Kathleen Tobin (Dan) of Cobourg, Ontario, Canada, and her grandchild­ren, Patrick Dixon and Daniel Tobin. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Sherill Edwards, Edwin Edwards, Carlene Kester and Patricia Vanhoorenb­eke.

She was a graduate of Avon Grove High School and attended Elizabetht­own College. Bev was an accomplish­ed musician and brought joy to many people through her music. She worked as a secretary at Pierce and Bair Realtors, Newbolten Center and retired from her position of 20 years at the 1st Presbyteri­an Church of Bethlehem where she served as an Administra­tive Assistant in the Sunday School Department.

Bev’s real passion in life was music. She began performing as a young woman at church events and weddings with her sister, Carlene. While raising her family she taught piano lessons from her home. In 1995, she was one of the founding members of St. Brigid’s Episcopal Church in Nazareth, Pa., where she served as the organist and choir director for 15 years. After retirement, she continued to share her music by playing at chapel services and prayer groups at Tel Hai. She always encouraged her choir to “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord.”

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a celebratio­n of life service at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 1520 West King’s Highway, Intersecti­on of Routes 340 and 10, Gap, PA 17527 at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 5, 2017. Interment at St. John’s Episcopal Cemetery will follow the service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.

Memorial donations may be made in the memory of Bev to either St. John’s Episcopal Church, 1520 West King’s Highway, Gap, PA 17527 or St Brigid’s Episcopal Church, 310 Madison Avenue, Nazareth, PA 18064.
