RUNAWAY » A 16-year-old juvenile ran away from home in the 200 block of Fallowfiel­d Road in West Fallowfiel­d Township on July 7 at 12:40 p.m. The juvenile was later located by the state police at his sister’s farm, police said.

THEFT » A woman made a down payment on a vacation in May, but it was later discovered that a 28-yearold male had provided the wrong account number to the vacation company and had withdrawn the money. It was later determined that the account number was accidental­ly written down and no actual crime occurred on June 3 in the 100 block of Amber Drive in East Nottingham Township, police said.

THEFT » Amanda and Kyle Rivera of West Chester and Nottingham respective­ly, went into Walmart in Lower Oxfords and placed

merchandis­e into a shopping cart on June 19 at 4:59 p.m. They left the store and fled, police said.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF » Someone took $40 from an unlocked car in a driveway on Brooks Road in Pocopson Township overnight on July 22, police said.

PUBLIC DRUNK » A 27-yearold male from Lincoln University created a scene at the Wawa in West Nottingham Township and was determined to be highly intoxicate­d on July 12 at 7:03 p.m. in the 100 block of Pond’s Edge Drive, police said. THROWING BOTTLES » State police responded to a report of two juveniles throwing bottles at vehicles on Newark Road at Saginaw Road in New London Township on July 29 at 8:14 p.m. When the police arrived, they found broken glass but no juveniles, police said. ONE CAR » On July 30 at 6:48 p.m. a driver was traveling south on Bayard Road in Kennett Township when another oncoming vehicle crossed the yellow line coming toward her. She swerved to avoid that car and hit a stone wall. No one was injured, police said. MOBILE DEVICE ACCIDENT » Michael Lucht, 19, of Avondale was distracted using his mobile device in the 1000 block of Kaolin road in Kennett Township and drove off the road, hitting a tree, He suffered an injury of unknown severity, police said.

THEFT » Someone stole a 1999 green Ford Taurus from the 700 block of Commons Drive in Lower Oxford Township on July 26, 27 or 28, police said.

THEFT » Someone stole about $82 worth of salon products from the CVS Pharmacy in the 200 block of Fieldcrest Drive in West Nottingham Township on July 27 at 4:20 p.m., police said. DUI » Jonathan Hunter Hagan, 37, of Oxford was arrested for DUI after he crashed his vehicle into a cornfield on New London road south of Flint Hill road in Lower Oxford Township on July 15 at 7:52 p.m., police said.

DROVE AWAY » A driver rearended the car ahead on Baltimore Pike in East Marlboroug­h Township on May 16 at 9:12 p.m. The agreed to share informatio­n at a nearby parking lot, but the driver of the striking vehicle drove away without sharing, police said.

RASH OF THEFTS » The Pennsylvan­ia State Police at Avondale remind the public about locking unattended vehicles after seeing an increase in thefts from vehicles over the last month. These incidents have predominan­tly been throughout the southern part of Chester County. Remember: Keep you vehicle parked at all times; Park in a well-lit area; Report all suspicious activity in your neighborho­od; Remove valuables from your vehicle when not in use.
