Crawdads blank Top Lumber in Game 3
Jalen Wade pitched six scoreless innings as the ASBA Crawdads booked their place into the West Chester Baseball League finals with a 4-0 victory over Top Lumber in the deciding Game 3 of the semifinal se- ries Wednesday.
Wade gave up five hits with two walks and six strikeouts.
Adam Smith and Mike McCardell had run-scoring doubles in a three-run fourth for the Crawdads. Tom Caulfield also had an RBI single in the frame.
Caulfield drove in a run in the sixth on a groundout. Colin Adams added a pair of hits.
The first game of the championship series between the Crawdads and Englund’s Apparel will be on Friday. VICTORY BREWING 4, AJ BLOSENSKI STEELBIRDS 1 » Chad Todd threw a complete game as Victory Brewing forced a deciding Game 3 in the Coatesville Adult Baseball League semifinal series. Todd allowed four hits and struck out four. Victory had four singles in a three-run fourth inning to take the lead for good. Chase Roman highlighted the inning with a two-run single. Roman and Tim Dimonte added two hits each.

WEST CHESTER ALUMNI LEAGUE » West Chester Rustin edged Diamond State, 62-55, in overtime to capture the championship of the West Chester Alumni League. Zach Butcher had 19 points and Rondell White added 14 for Rustin. Darryl Lewis paced Diamond State with 22 points. RJ Bullock collected 16 points.

TRI-COUNTY SENIOR MODIFIED » Mike Long pitched a six-hitter as Road Scholar Transports downed Landmark Auto, 7-1, in Game 1 of the championship series. Chris Sanchez had three hits, including a home run. Ruben Torres, Dennis Shelly, Joe Williamson and Joe Bonavita added two hits each. Will Buckley homered for Landmark. Game 2 will be Monday.
