Cynthia P. Johnson, 79, of West Chester

Cynthia P. Johnson (nee Pilot), 79, of West Chester, PA, formerly of Wildwood, NJ passed away on August 10, 2017.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Cynthia was the beloved daughter of the late Milton and Grace M. (Robinson) Pilot, Sr.

Cindy was not only a home maker but a very avid gardener. Planting beautiful flower gardens and vegetables as well. She made sure her family had plenty of fresh and frozen vegetables year round so they could all be very healthy. She enjoyed knitting (even from the wool of her own sheep), making her own clothes, bread, preserving vegetables, jams and jellies. In addition to raising her three children, she also raised goats for milk, chickens for eggs and sheep for lamb and wool. A real pioneer kind of woman. She deeply loved her Husband of 59 years who was her High School sweetheart (they were together for a total of 64 years) as well as her children, grand and great grand children.

She was the beloved wife of James C. Johnson; loving mother of Cindy A. Doster (Brian), Steven Johnson and the late James C. Johnson, Jr.; devoted grandmother of Christian Zimmerman, Megan Holmstrom, Steven Johnson and Erica Johnson; dear great-grandmother of Sylas T. Holmstrom.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 10:00-11:00 AM Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 4 Westtown Road,Thornton, PA 19373 followed by her Funeral Service 11:00 AM. Interment Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery.
