Conners, Shanahan tops Henderson

Ryan Conners started the year with an evenpar 35 as Bishop Shanahan opened the season with 210-223 victory over West Chester Henderson in a Ches-Mont League National Division golf match Monday.

Dylan Sterlacci shot a 42 for the Eagles, Faith Rule had a 43 and Cesar Cardenas added a 45. Dayton Boquist paced the Warriors with a 41. Casey Caufield notched a 44 and Tyler Rickel added a 45. TRI-COUNTY SENIOR MODIFIED » Road Scholar Transport completed a threegame sweep to win the TriCounty championship with a 5-2 victory over Landmark Auto. Chris Sanchez led the way offensively with three hits. Ruben Torres had two hits and deliered the key blow with a three-run homer in the fifth inning. Joe Bonavita also had two hits to back the pitching of Mike Long. Carey Werts, Jeff Levin and Ray Fernandez had two hits each for Landmark.
