John Tucker Scott died peacefully in his home on August 21, 2017. He was 90 years old. Born and raised in Chestnut Hill, the son of Richard and Eleanor George Scott, he attended Penn Charter School, and later Governor’s Academy, in Massachusetts. After an early retirement in 1989, he and his son began their own company, John Scott Co, handling translation rights for medical books. John worked with medical publishers all over the world, and maintained close relationships with many of them over the years.

John had a wonderful sense of humor, along with a consistently positive outlook on life. A warm and compassionate man, he enjoyed talking with people everywhere he went.
