Pros

• You’ll continue to receive a regular paycheck. • Your employer may provide health care coverage. • Retirement savings can potentiall­y continue to grow. • If you delay receiving Social Security benefits, your payments may increase.

Cons

• If you work part-time at a reduced salary after your normal retirement age, your pension benefits could be permanentl­y reduced. • If you start drawing Social Security benefits early and then re turn to work, your benefits will be reduced if your earnings exceed a certain limit. The earnings limit applies until you reach full retirement age.
