Francis Joseph Wunderlich of Narberth

Francis Joseph Wunderlich, 79, passed on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Ware Presbyterian Village, Oxford, PA.

Born in Philadelphia, PA he was the son of the late Francis and Anne Kelleher Wunderlich.

Francis received a PHD in Physical Chemistry from Georgetown University. He was a prolific author in various sciences.

Francis retired in 2012 as a Physics College Professor from Villanova University.

Francis was a devout Catholic and member of St. Margaret’s Church, Narberth.

A philanthropist, Francis enjoyed fishing, camping, astronomy, Egyptian math and history.

He is survived by five children, Marie Evans of Nottingham, Francis (Tammy) Wunderlich of Nottingham, Leo (Cecilia) Wunderlich of Houston, TX, James (Kimberly) Wunderlich of Coatesville and Cecilia (Barry) Davidson of Chadds Ford; and thirteen grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am Monday, September 11, 2017 at St. Margaret Church, 208 N. Narberth Ave., Narberth, PA.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Conshohocken, PA.
