Ann E. McLear Sheetz of West Chester

Ann Elizabeth McLear Sheetz, 76, died Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester.

Born February 12, 1941 in West Chester, PA, she was the daughter of the late George L. McLear and the late Elizabeth Rank McLear.

Coming from Arden, and New Castle, DE, she lived in West Chester for most of her life.

She was a 1959 graduate of West Chester High School, and attended Susquehanna University and West Chester University.

She retired from the Prudential Insurance Company as an office manager.

Ann was lifetime member of the United Methodist Church of West Chester, where she participated in the Women’s group, did home bound communion, and was part of the committee for the collection process at the church.

She was also a member of the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution), former member of the Soroptimist Club in West Chester. and volunteered at the Thorncroft Riding Academy. Ann spent many years as a Republican Committee Women, and then volunteered during the elections at the voting booths.

Ann enjoyed reading the Bible and novels, shopping, and loved animals.

She was preceded in death by her son Franklin John Banz.

Relatives and Friends are invited to her Graveside Service on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 11:00am at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church Cemetery, 1040 Chestnut Tree Rd., Honey Brook, PA 19344.
