Food truck event benefits libraries

WEST WHITELAND » The Chester County Library system will host its second annual Food Truck Festival on Friday. Residents are encouraged to sample the unique cuisines presented and to enjoy live music and more at the event.

Due to pipeline construction near the library branch at the Exton Square Mall the event has been relocated to Main Street at Exton, the shopping center on Route 100 south of Route 30. The event will be held in the old Circuit City parking lot across from the Movie Tavern.

Food trucks are a popular culinary concept sweeping the nation these days, and offer a variety of unique food choices in a multitude of locations. The library’s festival will offer a wide array of food trucks with plenty of options on the menu, including over 22 food trucks and carts.

The trucks displaying their culinary talents this year include Philly Fry, Rigatoni’s Mobile Crabcakes, Sweet Lavender, The Tot Cart, Ka’Chi, The Surf and Turf Truck, The Flying Deutschman, Phyllodelphia, Gemelli Gelato & Dessert Truck, Abuelita’s Empanadas, Montesano Bros, Dump N Roll, The Taza Truck, Lancaster Burger Company, Mara-Leo’s, MomPops,

Chow Bella’s Rock n Rolls, OMG Smoothies, Dia Doce Cupcakes, The Little Sicilian Riceballs, Meat Wagon BBQ, and Tre Locally Sourced Food Truck.

Music for the festival will be provided by Marchwood Music. This festival is sponsored by the Wolfson Group and Main Street at Exton, The Friends of the Chester County Library, and Elite Treatment Detailing.

from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m.
