Walter Joseph Levy, 81, died on the clear, crisp morning of September 9, 2017 in his home, surrounded by his children. He was a devout man of God, a faithful and loving husband, father and grandfathe­r. He relished time with family and friends; he took one day at a time; his sense of humor was exceptiona­l and poignant in dealing with adversity.

Walter was a tractor trailer driver with WAWA for 35 years; during his tenure, he never missed a day of work due to illness. He was also the Sexton at St Charles Borromeo Church in Drexel Hill, PA for 16 years and was most recently was a member of SS. Simon and Jude Church.

Walter was predecease­d by Regina, his wife of 54 years; his parents, Winifred and Joseph Levy; his granddaugh­ters, Alexandra Marie and Caroline Rose.

He is survived by his children, Kathleen Perry (John), Maureen DiCecco, Mary Pat Rush (Michael), Walter Levy (Lisa) and Daniel Levy (Chris); 15 grandchild­ren; 4 great grandchild­ren. He is also survived by his brother, Bill (Margie); his sister, Anne; his sisterin-law, Sr. Maureen Murray, RSM; his brothers-inlaw, Marty Murray (Carolyn) and Rev. Kevin Murray.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing, Friday, September 15th at 10am and to his Funeral Mass at 11:30am in Ss. Simon and Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Ct., West Chester, PA 19382. Burial SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
